"BOOKWORM" (2022) - Junior Thesis Film
In this animated short film, upon waking in a mysterious and expansive library, DAMIEN must try to make it home with the help of ALEXI, a strangely familiar thief exploring the library for his own gain, while also avoiding the hooded scholars who guard the place.

Something I was really excited to explore with "BOOKWORM" was the combination of 2D digital animation with physical paper cutouts.
The scraps used for the static effect on the The Scholars' faces were made up torn construction paper and cut up excerpts from Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" and first chapter of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit".
